Our Story

Mei and Kenji met under a canopy of sakura in Kyoto's Maruyama Park, both reaching for the same fallen blossom. Every spring since, they've returned to that tree — and this spring, Kenji asked Mei to stay forever.

Dress code

Garden formal

Your blessings are the truest gift. A goshugi (gift) reception will be held at the entrance, as is our custom.

When do the blossoms bloom?

We've chosen the date to fall in peak sakura season — please arrive early to enjoy the gardens.

Is the ceremony outdoors?

Yes, the ceremony is in the garden pavilion. In case of rain, we move to the covered tea house.

Are children welcome?

Absolutely — the gardens are a wonderful place for little ones.
